Congratulations to these students!
The day before the midterm students put watercolor on a piece of paper. They were given no instruction except to put color on white paper. For the exam the students were given 5 pieces of candy. They arranged the candy for an interesting and complex composition and had 2 hours to draw the candy. They used the skills gained the entire semester and to execute in their favorite materials. Here are best ones! Congratulations to these students!

Students practice drawing popcorn in their sketchbook with: Graphite Ink Charcoal Black paper and white charcoal Then they put 2-3 pieces of popcorn on 4" x 5" paper for the major assessment grade. Here is the presentation for the lesson:

Some pictures from 2nd period: 6th period Every student will need to submit a picture of them self from the shoulders up. These need to be creative and not a mug shot. They will use Jake Parker's word list and will create a different ink drawing everyday in the month of October. They made accordion books in class and will need to look at the word list and draw everyday. This will be an assessment grade at the end of October.
